On sunday i woke up thinking, crap, yet another week is starting. Again. I am so tired. Its as if all i do all week long is get up, go to school, read read read, maybe write (if theres an essay), go sleep. And the cycle just keeps repeating again and again and honestly i'm sick of it. And than i went to church. And the sermon was on Ecclesiastes 12- vanity, vanity, all is vanity. I remember my mother quoting that to me as a child. She used it jokingly whenever i played makeup or dress-up and she would use that verse jokingly on me. But the sermon was really good, and really what i needed. meaningless, meaningless, everything is meaningless. Don't we all feel like that sometimes? But the pastor reminded us that there is meaning in life, even though it might not seem so. And yet there is meaning because we would be judged on the last day for everything that we have done. And so what we need to do is to keep God's commandments, use it as fixed points in our lives, be faithful and persevere even though it may seem as if everything we do yields no result, and let God do the rest. Be faithful in the spheres that he called you to do and let him do the rest. I guess that resonated with me, especially since i'm currently struggling with italian, with no visible way out of it. And I guess it reminded me to trust in God, something that really i think i've been reminded umpteen times, and yet its so true. Haha. I'm thankful for the sermon, it really encouraged me(:

And then when we got back, we made pineapple tarts!! :D from scratch!! jam and all!!! and it was super successful even if we did spend the entire day doing it(: all the grating and stiring and measuring, and i realised i dont read instructions and as a result almost screwed up the pastry, but hey, it turned out good!! i'm so proud of myself:D back to top?
